Apple Valley’s Commercial Cleaning, Handled Close to Home
Apple Valley does most of its business along Cedar Avenue, where offices, clinics, storefronts and schools sit shoulder to shoulder from the Lebanon Hills edge down past County Road 42. Patriot Building Solutions provides cleaning services across that whole spread, from a nightly janitorial route to a once-a-year floor strip. We are a veteran-owned company based a short drive away in Inver Grove Heights, we clean with green products by default, and 99.5% of our customers have stayed with us over the last three years.

What Cedar Avenue Does to a Building
Cedar Avenue is the spine of commercial Apple Valley. It carries commuters north toward Eagan and the rest of the metro, and along the way it feeds a long run of strip centers, medical and dental suites, professional offices, restaurants, and the schools and churches set back on the side streets. Every one of those buildings shares the same problem. People come in off a busy road, and they bring the road with them: grit in summer, slush and salt in winter, and in every season a steady parade of feet across one entry and down one hallway. We clean the full range of those buildings, and we scope each one for how it actually gets used. A clinic waiting room that turns over all day needs different attention than an insurance office that sees a handful of visitors a week, even when the two share a parking lot.
That scope comes from a walkthrough. Israel or a crew lead walks the space with you, counts the restrooms and break rooms, notes every floor type and its condition, and asks what your people already complain about. That last question usually tells us more than the floor plan does. Then we write it down task by task, with how often each one happens, so you can read exactly what you are paying for before anyone signs anything. If your building does not need five nights a week, we will say so.
Five Services We Run Across Apple Valley
Carpet Cleaning
Extraction and low-moisture cleaning for office, clinic and corridor carpet, with the salt rings pulled out once winter lets go.
Church Cleaning
Sanctuaries, fellowship halls, nurseries and restrooms, cleaned on a schedule built around a week that peaks on Sunday.
Floor Stripping
Stripping and refinishing vinyl tile in clinics, schools and break rooms, booked after the salt season so the new finish lasts.
Disinfection Services
High-touch points cleaned first, then disinfected with the full dwell time on the label, for clinics, offices and childcare rooms.
Janitorial Services
A written nightly or weekly scope, one crew on one building, and anything missed put right on the next visit.

Apple Valley sits on a route we already run
Our crews stage out of Inver Grove Heights and work Dakota County first, so a walkthrough, a follow-up visit or a fix on a missed detail never waits on a special trip.
Winter Walks In Through the Front Door
From November through March, Cedar Avenue and County Road 42 are slush roads, and every lobby along them pays for it. De-icer rides in on boots, spreads across the first stretch of floor and dries into a white film. On carpet it leaves a ring just inside the door. On vinyl tile it dulls the finish and then starts grinding it away. Most of the fix comes down to timing. We push for long walk-off mats at the busy entries, pull salt out of the traffic lanes on a tighter winter cadence, and schedule the heavier floor work for after the melt, when it will actually last.
The mats themselves need attention too. A mat that is soaked through or packed with salt stops catching anything and starts spreading it, so on a winter route our crew vacuums them, swaps out the worst ones and keeps an eye on the side doors that staff use more than customers do. Every building along Cedar Avenue has one of those doors, and it is almost always the one nobody thought to mat.
Spring brings its own mess. When the snowbanks finally give up in late March, the sand and grit they leave behind ends up in every entry mat in town, and that is the time to book a scrub or a carpet extraction. By June, cottonwood fluff is collecting on storefront glass along Cedar Avenue. We move the scope with the calendar instead of running one routine all year, so the building looks handled in March as well as in July.
One Written Price
We price off the building and the scope, never an hourly meter. After the walkthrough you get one number tied to that written scope. Add a second service, such as carpet extraction on top of nightly janitorial, and we price the two together. Call us and get a price before anyone touches a mop.
The Towns on Every Side of Apple Valley
Apple Valley sits in the middle of the Dakota County routes we run every week. Lebanon Hills Regional Park closes off the north side, and past it is Eagan, where our Eagan crews clean the office campuses along I-35E. Burnsville lies to the west. To the south, County Road 42 points toward Lakeville and its fast-filling edges, and to the east is Rosemount, with its schools and civic buildings. Plenty of visitors know Apple Valley for the Minnesota Zoo. We know it for the strip centers and suites in between.
The way we work the whole county is laid out on our Dakota County page, and the finish we leave behind on these jobs is in our gallery.
The same crew on the same building learns which door takes the worst of the salt. After that, half the job is already done before they pull in.
Patriot Building SolutionsQuestions Apple Valley Owners and Managers Ask Us
How close is your crew to Apple Valley?
Close. Our shop is in Inver Grove Heights, a short drive away, and Apple Valley sits on Dakota County routes we already run. A walkthrough, a follow-up visit or a trip back to fix something needs no special planning on our end, so a same-week visit is the norm here.
What kinds of buildings do you clean in Apple Valley?
Offices, retail storefronts, medical and dental suites, schools, churches and multi-tenant buildings, most of them on or near Cedar Avenue. We run recurring janitorial routes, and we also take one-time work like a carpet extraction, a floor strip or a targeted disinfection of shared rooms.
How do you keep winter salt off our floors?
Long walk-off mats at the busy doors do most of the work. From November through March we also pull salt out of the entries and traffic lanes on a tighter schedule, and we hold the heavy floor work until after the melt so a fresh finish does not get salted the following week.
Will the same people clean our building each time?
Yes. We keep one crew on your building instead of rotating strangers through it. They learn your layout, your alarm routine and the spots that need extra attention, and you stop repeating the same requests. That consistency is a big reason 99.5% of our customers have stayed with us for three years.
Are your products safe around kids, patients and pets?
Green cleaning is our default, with products that are kid-safe and pet-certified. Where a surface or a disinfectant label calls for something specific, we follow the label. If your building already stocks its own supplies, tell us and we will work from those.
Who is in our building after we lock up?
Trained crew members who have each passed a background check. Israel, a Marine Corps veteran, holds Six Sigma, HAZMAT and First Responder credentials, and the crews are held to that same standard. We agree on a key and alarm routine with you before the first visit.
What happens if a visit misses something?
Tell us and we come back to fix it. Apple Valley is a short drive from our shop, so a return trip does not cost us a day and it never costs you one. If the work still does not sit right with you, you get your money back.
